After the gluing is compleated its time to fill all the holes, dents and chips. For larger non structual chips we use a resin based putty (car body filler). It dries fast with little shrinkage. For small holes and dents we use a fast drying solvent based putty like "Famowood". After leveling off all the putty spots with 80 or 120 grit sandpaper a finial smooth sanding is done with 150 or 180 grit sandpaper.
